1) What is your understanding of online identity? Discuss online identity in different context.

Online identity is your representation online. This is comprised by any social media outlets you are a part of including any photo sharing apps/websites. Posts on these mediums shed light onto your personal life in one way, shape, or form. For example, on your Facebook, postings about your views on politics allows others to create an image of you in their mind. Not only do posts do this, but photos as well. Apps like Instagram allow people to pretty much see things through your eyes. This online community can only see what you post, so it's up to you what you want your online identity to be.

2) According to the readings, what do you think are the most important factors to a successful online brand?

Your online relevance is very important when starting on the job hunt. According to the stats in the article, many employers use Google to do a current day reference check. Thus, what shows up on the first three pages on Google when your name is entered is very important. You want to be digitally visible in the results and only in a positive way. Not only do you need to keep your search result reputation clean, but it needs to continue to stay relevant and stand out from your peers.
